Carwash!

Description

Everybody!

Working at the carwash! Whoa whoa yeah eah eh eh,
At the carwash! Sing it with me now!

The song somewhat inspired this deviation.

:iconcritique-it: This is my second entry - check out my first, it looks much better [link] This was done at the last minute, as per usual. Stylistically, Marilyn and the car aren't consistent, the car's shading and proportions are probably off because I tried in vain not to use a reference, and I probably should have picked a better font and colour scheme. If you have any suggestions on the proportions of the car, the font and the colour of the font, etc, do let me know!

Done in a style that is somewhat homage to the pop art of Andy Worhol's Marilyn Monroe, although I failed with consistency for the car. Initially I wasn't going to make this as detailed as I did - but I just noticed something and kept pushing. I wasn't even going to enter a second piece because I could be bothered after the epic detail of the first but I just kept getting inspired by all the entries! And this time, although design wise I think it has flaws, at least I don't have stock issues.

Done in Adobe Illustrator with a mouse, the pen tool, some gradients, brushes and transparencies. My computer nearly died doing it!

Of course, if you like, VOTE ME UP!

I'd probably change the carwash sign to a light-blue and do away with the writing on the back of the shirt. The car itself fits the style though, and I'm not sure what you were thinking about but the only fault I could find with it was that the grill at the front looked a little flat.

Far better than what I came up with though, and pretty close to something I'd wear.

A little more work and I reckon you could go so far as to put it on sale. Nice job!
